🌟 Hope Begins at Home — Supporting Children’s Minds Through Life’s Storms 🌟

We had an enriching Parents’ Workshop at Indlas Child Guidance Clinic (ICGC), Vizag, where families came together to explore ways to nurture children’s mental well-being. The session focused on equipping parents with practical tools to support their children through life’s challenges, reinforcing the idea that mental health starts at home.

As part of our Mental Health Day 2025 Awareness Initiative, we aim to empower families, strengthen minds, and foster a community that understands and values emotional well-being. Together, we can create a safe space for children to grow, thrive, and face life’s storms with resilience.

September marks “PCOS awareness month”

PCOS is today, an extremely common condition that causes irregular menstrual periods, excess hair growth, acne and infertility.

There is now, growing evidence of increasing psychological morbidity in cases of PCOS

To increase awareness, Roche Diagnostics India, had organised a unique programme with a multidisciplinary panel to discuss various aspects of PCOS

The panel included a Gynecologist, Endocrinologist , Dermatologist and a Psychiatrist and was moderated by their Manager- Medical and Scientific Affairs

ICGC Head, Dr Manjiri Deshpande Shenoy was part of the panel as the psychiatrist

She shared insights on the psychological issues faced by patients of PCOS, how to support them and also busted some myths about psychiatry as a branch.

Such programmes are much needed to spread awareness and encourage people to take help when needed.

Team ICGC Vijayawada recently conducted an awareness program on child development at The I School, Vijayawada. It was a brilliant effort by the team, with each member sharing valuable insights. Ms P. Meenakshi, Clinical Psychologist, gave a thoughtful session on handling temper tantrums in children. Ms Sreenija, Psychologist, did a wonderful job addressing emotional regulation skills. Mr Rahul Indrajith, Speech Therapist, shared excellent inputs on speech and language development disorders. Mr Subrata Borah, occupational therapist, gave a very engaging talk on managing screen time. A heartfelt appreciation to the team for their good work and commitment to child well-being.
