👁️We were honoured to welcome a distinguished medical team from Second Sight, London, including Dr. Aideen Landers (MBChB, FRCOphth),Dr. Anamika Tandon (MBBS, MS), and Ms. Rowena Mcnamara (MSc, DBOT) – Chair of the British & Irish Orthoptic Society – from 31st July to 5th August 2025.

The focus of the visit was on teaching, training, and clinical knowledge exchange, with a special emphasis on pediatric eye care. Their expertise and commitment greatly benefited both our clinical team and the patients, especially children requiring specialized attention.

We are deeply grateful to Second Sight, London for their continued partnership and support in strengthening quality eye care services in our region.

We are thrilled to announce that Laxman Eye Hospital, in collaboration with Ajanta Pharma Limited, successfully conducted a comprehensive training session for our paramedical staff on cataract counselling.
🧑‍⚕️ **Training Highlights:**
1️⃣Understanding Cataracts**: Our team learned the importance of explaining the disease condition and the necessity of timely surgery to patients.
2️⃣Effective Communication**: Emphasis was placed on the role of the counsellor in understanding the patient's socioeconomic status and guiding them towards the most suitable surgical options.
3️⃣Post-Operative Care**: Detailed instructions on post-operative medication, hygiene, and follow-up schedules were covered to ensure optimal patient recovery.
