The Faculty of Life Sciences was established in the year 2013 with the blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, Chancellor, JSS University, Mysore. The Faculty of Life Sciences is enunciated in the JSS University’s Strategic Planning Framework. It has a vision and a mission of achieving national and international distinction while strengthening local relevance. As the Faculty of Life Sciences covers a wide spectrum of biological, biomedical and environmental sciences with several interdisciplinary research areas, it provides plethora of job opportunities at various biotechnological, agriculture, pharmaceutical and other industries as well as R & D organizations and teaching institutions across the country or overseas. The Faculty of Life Sciences strongly believes that interdisciplinary research and collaboration is crucial for ensuring continuous professional, scientific and innovative development in Life Sciences. Research at Faculty of Life Sciences spans health care, cosmetic, biostatistics & bioinformatics, environmental, nanoscience & technology and food science which plays a major role in improving the quality of life. The Faculty of Life Sciences values teaching and research as equal and essential components of continuous professional and scientific development. Our constant aim is to achieve excellence in research & education and strive to integrate research with teaching at every possible opportunity in the curriculum. Our teaching and research programs sustain a rigorous prospectus that focuses on developing capabilities of students in problem solving, critical & lateral thinking and communication skills that equip the students for employment and personality development. We welcome students from every corner of the world, who are eager to learn and make knowledge work at elementary level and understand mysteries in Life Sciences. 🌟 A Proud Moment for JSS Alumni and Students! 🌟

Yesterday marked a historic day as His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji inaugurated the Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic at Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad, in the presence of esteemed dignitaries and over 50 distinguished alumni of JSS Medical College, Mysuru.

🎓 Our alumni, now celebrated as top cardiologists, nephrologists, neurologists, surgeons, and physicians, reunited to reflect on their journey, their incredible mentors, and the values that shaped their success. They shared how JSS Medical College has been pivotal in their lives and careers, inspiring them to make an impact in the world of medicine.

💡 “Service to humanity is the highest calling,” said His Holiness Swamiji, as he encouraged alumni to continue leading with compassion and excellence.

The event also saw the participation of:
✔️ Hon’ble Justice R. Devadas, who emphasized empathy as the cornerstone of healthcare.
