The Medical Gastroenterology and Hepatology department in JSS Hospital is manned by a team of eminent gastroenterologist trained from premier Institute of our country headed by Dr. Nandeesh. H.P who has done his specialization from GB Pant hospital, New Delhi (One of the first Institute in India to start DM residency Programme) and has more than 20 years of experience in the field.

The department has state of the art endoscopy room and equipment to deal with a myriad of gastrointestinal and liver problems. Treatment here is specialized and covers all disease of the gastrointestinal tract. Department has been running speciality clinic like liver, pancreas and IBD clinic, where special attention will be given to the patients suffering from above-mentioned disease.

It is one of the first institutions to start DM residency programme in Karnataka.

The ambulance services is an integral part of Emergency Medicine Department. We have ambulances with all the necessary facilities, like monitors, defibrillators, ventilators and continuous oxygen supply.

A team of paramedics trained in providing Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support are available round the clock, they provide care at the scene of emergency and transport the patient to the hospital with atmost care.

The services can be utilized 24 x 7 through Ambulance Emergency Help Line-No. 14455.

Department of Clinical Psychology was officially established as a speciality department on 10th July, 2015.

The department aims at providing a wide range of psychological services to the society as well as training students to bloom as competent and responsible professionals in the field to extend the services to the society which is very scarce in the contemporary India.

The department being a part a multi-speciality centre, is currently catering to the needs of psychological services of various departments in the institute and also external referrals.

It is also one of the three institutions in Karnataka providing professional training to budding clinical psychologists through M.Phil.
