India’s street dogs are not a problem to be erased, but lives to be protected.
Recent directions and discussions around the Supreme Court order on stray dogs have created fear, confusion, and hostility on the ground. While the matter is still evolving, one thing remains unchanged , cruelty, violence, & removal of dogs are not the solution.
Indian dogs have lived alongside us for generations. They are part of our streets, our communities, and our ecosystem. The humane and lawful way forward is ABC (Animal Birth Control), vaccination, responsible feeding, and coexistence, as recognised under existing laws.

On the 28th January 2026, the Hon’ble Supreme Court hears a matter that touches the lives of India’s street dogs.
As a nation guided by constitutional values, we hope for compassion, coexistence, and justice, in the spirit of Article 51A(g): compassion for all living beings.
