“ PROSESTA
….etu situ bohutu”
the name suggests a “try” (PROSESTA in Assamese), a “try” for doing a number of varied good works (“etu situ bohutu” in Assamese) and spreading a smile into the lives of people. We are a very new organization but with a high aim and the determination to leave a mark into the lives of people we touch. Our field of work is divided into three parts:
Firstly we have a wing for blood donation and eye donation. Secondly we have a wing for the old aged people living in old age homes and for the orphans. Our third wing works for the society as a whole where tree plantation, food for school children, free education for the illiterate, help for victims of terrorism etc. are taken care of. FIELD OF WORK:
1. BLOOD DONATION
Our first field of work will be a Blood Donation Bank where all eligible people can donate their blood to help someone in need. Lakhs of people around the world are dying per minute in need of blood. So we aim at providing this “Elixir” to anyone in need, anywhere, through our ever active members. Willing donors and the ones in need of blood can contact any member whose numbers are given in our page. We provide this free of cost and it comes with a promise that it is pure and the donors are reliable. We accept blood from donors only when medical experts approve the person after thorough check-up.
2. AWARENESS FOR EYE DONATION
We secondly aim at creating awareness for eye donation so that after we pass away, we can atleast be of some help to someone in need. Interested donors can contact us through our members.
3. A helping hand for the old and orphans
We take care of the ones living in the old-age homes through distribution of clothes, food, medicines and a little bit of care for the ones who have spend their lives caring for their children but now leading a lonely life. Books, magazines etc are given to them to keep them away from boredom. We also try to make the orphans smile and care for them as a lonely child is a sad child. Books, clothes, medicines, toys and other amenities are provided in orphanages and the number of orphanages taken under our organization will be increasing with the passing days.
4. We also work in the society in areas like awareness for tree plantation, providing meals in government schools. As we all know the quality of the meals provided by the government, we are here to try provide a healthy, nutritious meal. We aim at endorsing atleast 2 schools per year and aim to increase it as we grow by. As we are a very new organization we are beginning our work in a small way but we have a long way to go in spreading care and working for the human race. Our “Prosesta” will always be to make atleast 10 people smile in a day. Only then we can say that we are towards our goal in spreading humanism. We take Mother Teresa as our idol who is a symbol of peace and world brotherhood. She worked for the ones in need selflessly and cared forgetting all bindings. We are here to follow in her footsteps, caring and helping all the ones in need, leaving aside all barriers and restrictions and spreading a hand of care to all.
