Nia was a busy single mom working as a pilot and ambassador for Black women in flying when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her diagnosis took her on a nearly two-year "rollercoaster" journey of multiple surgeries that made her realize when it comes to breast cancer, you should expect the unexpected. 15th February is International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) and marks the launch of CCI’s the 3-year global campaign (2024-26) which aims on transforming journeys of cancer patients, caregivers, survivors, and healthcare professionals by addressing their challenges and inequalities. The emphasis of 2024 is on gathering challenges and inequalities faced by individuals navigating the intricate realm of childhood cancer. As part of CCI’s initiative, CPAA will collaborate with hospitals in Mumbai like B J Wadia, Sion and CTC to address challenges and inequalities at the regional level. We will engage with patients, parents, and healthcare professionals through psych educative and therapeutic sessions to gain insights into their issues. To foster global connections, stakeholders express their challenges on CPAA-designed postcards.
By identifying gaps, we act through past and new initiatives, offering therapy, financial aid, access to healthcare, and impactful contributions to medical, social, and emotional well-being.
We see the CAN in CANCER and Together we CAN beat it.

Participated as Chief guest in World Sick day program organized by RC Diocese of Thukalay. Made a speech on How to cope with cancer.
This program was organised at International Cancer Centre, Neyoor, Kanniyakumari District. 60 cancer patients attended the program. Rev. Fr. Ajin coordinated the program nicely. Bedsheets and eatables were given to all the patients who attended the program. Young girls from Mangarai Parish performed two wonderful dances.
