🧠 Understanding Spinal Tumors 🧠
As a neurosurgeon, I often meet patients who come with persistent back pain, weakness in the legs, or difficulty walking — symptoms that can sometimes be caused by spinal tumors.
A spinal tumor is an abnormal growth within or around the spinal cord.
🔍 Key symptoms to watch for:
Persistent or worsening back pain
Weakness, tingling, or numbness in arms/legs
Difficulty with balance or walking
Bowel or bladder changes
💡 Why early diagnosis matters:
Detecting spinal tumors early gives us the best chance to treat them effectively — often with advanced surgery, radiation, or other therapies — and preserve quality of life.
If you or someone you know has unexplained, persistent back pain with neurological symptoms, please don’t ignore it. Consult a specialist early — timely care can make all the difference.
