The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Government Dental College and Hospital, Nagpur celebrated National Oral Medicine & Radiology Day on 24/04/23. On this occasion many activities under the banner of Oral Health Mission Maharashtra, “SWACHHA MUKH ABHIYAAN” were conducted-Essay Competition on “Usage of Ayurvedic Preparation in Dentistry” for Ayurvedic College Students was organised.Rangoli competition for school children was organised. In total, 26 children in 6 different groups took part in the competition. The theme for the rangoli competition was “Ill-effects of to***co on oral health”.Oral health & Oral precancer- cancer screening camps at 3 different schools of Nagpur city were organised. A total of 481 children were examined thoroughly for oral mucosal diseases including Oral precancer- cancer and overall health of teeth and supporting structures.Guest lecture was organised on 24/04/23. Dr. Rachana Ramteke, Associate Professor, department of Paediatrics, Shree Ayurvedic Mahavidyalay, Nagpur delivered her interactive lecture on the topic “Oral Cancer: A Preventive Approach Through Ayurveda”.All the programs conducted to celebrate National Oral Medicine & Radiology Day were organized by and under the able guidance of Dean Dr. Abhay Datarkar and Dr. Ash*ta Kalaskar, Professor & Head of the department. Other faculties of the department, Dr. Amit Parate, Dr. Shweta Gangotri, Dr. Pavan Motghare, Dr. Shailesh Gondivkar and Post graduate students Dr. Prakash Bandiwar, Dr. Ayush Dahiwade. Dr. Shruti Saryam and Dr. Shrusti Sneh.
