WORLD MALARIA DAY!
World Malaria Day is observed annually on April 25th to raise awareness about malaria and the global efforts to control and eliminate the disease. With the theme “Malaria Ends with Us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite”, aiming to re-energize efforts at all levels, from global policy to community action, to accelerate progress towards malaria elimination.
Malaria is a disease caused by a parasite.The parasite is spread to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes. People who have malaria usually feel very sick with a high fever and shaking chills. The World Health Organization has recommended a malaria vaccine for use in children who live in countries with high numbers of malaria cases.
