Early Signs Before Hip Joint Damage
Early Signs Before Hip Joint Damage
1️⃣ Pain in the Hip or Groin
Initially, pain occurs while walking, climbing stairs, or standing for a long time.
Sometimes the pain radiates to the front of the thigh, knee, or even the buttock region.
2️⃣ Morning or Post-Rest Stiffness
After getting up in the morning or after sitting for a while, the hips feel “stiff.”
The stiffness usually improves slightly after some movement.
3️⃣ Difficulty in Simple Movements
Discomfort while bending the leg, sitting cross-legged, or wearing socks/shoes.
4️⃣ Change in Walking Pattern (Limping)
You may feel the need to drag your leg while walking or put more weight on the other leg.
5️⃣ Secondary Pain in Back, Knee, or Lower Back
When the hip doesn’t function properly, body balance changes — leading to pain in the knee or lower back.
6️⃣ Gradual Reduction in Range of Motion
Bending, rotating inward or outward becomes difficult over time.
7️⃣ Pain Even at Rest
Initially, pain occurs only during movement, but later it may persist even at rest or during sleep.
This indicates the advanced stage of hip joint damage.
⚠️ When to Consult a Doctor Immediately
Severe pain while walking or sitting.
The hip or leg appears “bent” or “shortened.”
