Hip replacement is a major surgery, so taking proper care after the operation is very important. It helps speed up recovery and prevents complications.

1. Movement & Physiotherapy

Start movements exactly as advised by your doctor or physiotherapist.

Use proper support (walker, stick) while sitting, standing, or walking.

Do not cross your legs or bend excessively.

Regular physiotherapy exercises help strengthen the hip faster.

2. Sitting & Sleeping

The chair should be firm and high; avoid sitting very low.

While sitting, keep knees lower than the hips.

While sleeping, place a pillow between the legs to prevent them from crossing.

3. Wound Care

Get stitches/staples removed on time.

Keep the wound clean and dry.

If swelling, redness, or fever occurs, inform the doctor immediately.

4. Medications

Take painkillers and antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor.

If blood-thinning medicines are prescribed, do not skip doses.

5. Other Important Instructions

Use anti-slip mats and handrails in the bathroom.

हिप रिप्लेसमेंट ही मोठी शस्त्रक्रिया असल्यामुळे ऑपरेशननंतर योग्य काळजी घेणे खूप महत्त्वाचे आहे. त्यामुळे बरे होण्याचा वेग वाढतो आणि गुंतागुंत टाळता येते.

१. हालचाल व फिजिओथेरपी

डॉक्टर किंवा फिजिओथेरपिस्ट सांगतील त्या प्रमाणेच हालचाल सुरू करावी.

बसताना, उठताना व चालताना योग्य आधार (walker, stick) वापरावा.

पाय क्रॉस करू नये किंवा अति वाकू नये.

नियमित फिजिओथेरपीचे व्यायाम केल्याने हिप लवकर मजबूत होतो.

२. बसणे व झोपणे

खुर्ची उंच व कडक असावी; खूप खाली बसू नये.

बसताना गुडघे कंबरपेक्षा खाली ठेवावेत.

झोपताना पायामध्ये उशी ठेवावी जेणेकरून पाय एकमेकांवर येणार नाहीत.

३. जखमेची काळजी

टाके / स्टेपल्स वेळेवर काढून घ्यावेत.

जखम स्वच्छ व कोरडी ठेवावी.

सूज, लालसरपणा, ताप आल्यास त्वरित डॉक्टरांना कळवावे.

४. औषधं

डॉक्टरांनी सांगितलेली वेदनाशामक आणि इन्फेक्शन टाळण्यासाठीची औषधं वेळेवर घ्यावीत.

रक्त पातळ करणारी औषधं दिल्यास त्यांचे डोस चुकवू नयेत.

मजबूत हाडं – निरोगी जीवनाचा पाया

Taking care of bones is very important because they provide support, enable movement, and maintain the balance of our body. Without proper care, bones can become weak, leading to problems such as osteoporosis, fractures, or joint pain.

🦴 Important tips for healthy bones:

1️⃣ Healthy Diet

Milk, curd, cheese, and paneer provide calcium.

Morning sunlight (between 8–10 am) gives Vitamin D.

Nuts, seeds (sesame, flaxseed, almonds, walnuts), and green leafy vegetables are beneficial for bones.

2️⃣ Regular Exercise

Walking, cycling, yoga, and light weight training strengthen bones.

Avoid sitting for long periods.

3️⃣ Avoid Bad Habits

Smoking and excessive alcohol weaken bones.
