✴️Painful and restriced range of motion in all directions of shoulder joint = FROZEN SHOULDER✴️
In frozen shoulder, the capsule becomes contracted, narrowed, inflamed with adhesions thus reducing the shoulder movements.
It is commonly seen in women, age between 40 to 60 years, sedentary workers; people with diabetes, thyroid disease, cervical spondylosis, etc.
🔘Symptoms:
🔹Pain- Dull aching or Sharp. Severe pain at night.
🔹Tenderness- At the front and top of shoulder
🔹Muscle Spasm- Deltoid, Pectoralis Major, Lats, Upper trapezius
🔹Movement Restriction
🔶Frozen shoulder typically develops slowly, and in three stages. Each stage can last a number of months.
🔸Freezing stage - Any movement of shoulder causes pain and movement restriction initiates.
🔸Frozen stage - Pain and resistance at the same time
🔸Thawing stage - The movement of shoulder begins to improve. Pain comes after the resistance.
