Which is your happy place?
For me it has to be Goaaaaahhh.. it is a state of mind.. it is the place which rejuvenates my being..the beautiful beach where we spent almost every weekend in my childhood (and the bhelpuri gaddas in my teens),my alma mater Goa medical college where I hustled through adulthood which I invariably spot on my way to the airport, my magnificent school which I proudly point at to my daughter when we pass by it ,the random honks of the pao walla every evening,the silent by lanes in the afternoon as it's siesta time,the smell of fresh 'nuste' (fish)being crisply fried in the kitchen, the peals of laughter as I squeal with my best friends of nearly 20 years, the sight of lush green fields as I peer through my window, the absolute perfection that cutlet pao and ras omlette is,the friendly banter with aunties who know embarrassing stories of my childhood and ofcourse the warmth in the loving arms of my parents..Goa for me is always a wave of happy memories.. my home and the place I love the most always and forever ❤
