World Zoonoses Day.
It is a day to help raise awareness of the growing risk of zoonotic diseases, which are diseases that can be spread from animals to humans.

What are Zoonoses?
Ans: Zoonoses are viral diseases like rabies and influenza, bacterial diseases such as Lyme disease and brucellosis, or parasitic diseases such as tapeworms. All of these are diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans.

The following is a list of the top ten ways you can reduce the risk of zoonotic diseases from spreading..........

1.Wash your hands. ...
2.Manage the f***s of your pets. ...
3.Avoid contact with wild animals. ...
4.Have your bird tested for Psittacosis. ...
5.Cover the sandbox. ...
6.Use monthly heartworm preventive religiously for your pets. ...
7.Don't eat or feed raw or undercooked meat.
8.Use flea and tick preventives.
9.Prevent your dogs or any pet animal from drinking contaminated water.
10.Keep up on the routine veterinary care.
