🧠 World Mental Health Day – 2K Marathon at Narayana Medical College & Hospital, Nellore! 🏃‍♀️💚

Date: October 10, 2025
Venue: Narayana Medical College Main Gate

In celebration of World Mental Health Day 2025, the Department of Psychiatry, in association with the NSS Unit, organized a vibrant 2K Marathon under the guidance of Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy, Dean, NMCH — spreading awareness on the theme “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”

The marathon saw 350+ enthusiastic participants from Medical, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, and Engineering colleges, along with the local public. The event promoted the importance of physical activity for mental well-being.

Special thanks to Dr. V.V. Seshamma, Dr. Arun Kanth, Dr. Sathish, Dr. Prabhakar Garu, Dr. D.M. Karthik (NSS Officer), Dr. Harsh*tha Verramachaneni, and Dr. Kashyap Varma for their valuable contributions.

Participants received medals and refreshments, and the event concluded with great appreciation from all! 🌿✨

🌍❤ World Heart Day Celebrated at Narayana Hospital ❤🌍

Narayana Hospital, Department of Cardiology, observed World Heart Day 2025 with the global theme “Don’t Miss a Beat” 🫀

👨‍⚕ Chief Guest Dr. P. Srinivasulu Reddy (Dean, Narayana Medical Institutions) applauded the dedicated 24/7 Cardiology team for their continuous services.

💬 Dr. Ramkumar (Interventional Cardiologist & Device Specialist) highlighted that Narayana is the only hospital in this region with a dedicated Electrophysiology Department to treat heart rhythm problems with advanced technology and expertise.

💬 Dr. K. Tilak Kumar Reddy (Interventional Cardiologist & Senior Consultant) stressed that heart diseases are now affecting even young people aged 20–25 years, unlike before. He emphasized prevention through:
✅ Balanced Diet
✅ Regular Exercise / Yoga
✅ Meditation
✅ Minimum 7 hours Sleep
