Going by the trend...

01/02/2026

Hours of sitting with minimal movement overworks the neck muscles.
The result? Tightness, headaches, reduced mobility, and chronic discomfort.
Small posture corrections and regular breaks can make a big difference.

The meniscus is a C-shaped fibrocartilage structure in the knee joint. Each knee has two menisci:
Medial meniscus (inner side)
Lateral meniscus (outer side)
They play a critical role in joint health, stability, and longevity.
🔹 Key Functions of the Meniscus

1️⃣ Shock Absorption
The meniscus absorbs 40–70% of the load passing through the knee during activities like walking, running, and jumping.
This reduces direct stress on articular cartilage of the femur and tibia.

2️⃣ Load Distribution
Converts point loading into a broader contact area.
Evenly distributes body weight across the joint surface.

3️⃣ Protection of Articular Cartilage
Acts as a protective cushion between femur and tibia.
Reduces friction and shear forces during knee movement.

4️⃣ Joint Stability
Deepens the tibial surface, improving knee congruency.
Especially important in ACL-deficient knees.

5️⃣ Lubrication & Nutrition
Aids in the distribution of synovial fluid.
mproves nutrition and lubrication of articular cartilage.

6️⃣ Proprioception
Contains mechanoreceptors that provide joint position sense.
Helps in neuromuscular control, preventing faulty loading patterns.

⚠️ Meniscus is a cartilage protector

Treat early meniscal injuries seriously—even when pain is mild

Rehab should focus on load control, alignment, strength, and movement patterns

The body whispers before it screams.
Most people start listening too late..
In clinical practice, we see this daily—the body tolerates far more than it should.
Listening early can prevent long-term consequences.
Timely guidance matters more than temporary relief.
