As part of the HEI Pre-Summit Engagements for the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, a MIC-driven academic activity was successfully conducted on 23rd January 2026 at JIMS, Room B-101. The session was organized in alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, with the objective of building AI awareness, decision-making capabilities, and self-reliant digital competencies among students.
The event was facilitated by Ms. Deepika, Assistant Professor, who served as the Resource Person for the program. The workshop focused on equipping participants with a structured understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and AI-enabled decision systems, emphasizing practical relevance across management and technology domains.
The program was conducted through two intensive sessions.
The first session introduced participants to the fundamentals of AI and Machine Learning, highlighting the evolution from predictive models to Generative AI. Key concepts related to Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering were discussed, enabling students to design and refine prompts for generating accurate, domain-specific outputs.
The second session emphasized applied AI, covering Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), IoT integration, and Agentic AI. A hands-on demonstration using AI simulators allowed participants to understand real-world workflow automation and decision-support systems. The session also addressed Responsible AI, focusing on ethical considerations, data privacy, and bias mitigation.
The workshop followed an interactive and evaluative approach, where participants were assessed on conceptual understanding, prompt design, output analysis, decision justification, and ethical awareness. A cap of 50 participants per session ensured effective engagement and quality learning outcomes.
Overall, the event contributed significantly to enhancing AI literacy, practical decision skills, and responsible technology adoption, reinforcing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by empowering students with future-ready digital capabilities.
