Dr. Glossy Sabharwal, MD, is a radiologist with acclaimed credentials from India, the US and the UK. Sundays 9 am to 9 pm.

Based in Delhi, she currently heads and serves as Director of Radiology at Apollo Spectra Hospital, Jeewanmala Hospital and WISH Diagnostics. WISH clinic is headed by Dr Glossy Sabharwal who commenced her medical studies at the Government Medical College, Amritsar, India in 2000. After completing her MBBS she went to America and completed her American board certification as well as externship in the radiology department of Cleveland Clinic (Ranked America’s number 1 hospital). After getting her experience in America she came back to India and completed her MD in Radio-diagnosis with distinction from Nagpur Medical College in 2013. Thereafter , she travelled to Paris, France to work as a fellow, under Dr. Luc Rottenberg and finished a fellowship in Breast Interventional Radiology. In 2015, she went to London to upgrade her diagnostic skills in women imaging ultrasound,mammography & cross sectional imaging. She also did fellowship training under DrSelviRadhakrishnan(Renowned Breast surgeon) in Chennai to gain experience of problems in Indian women. Inspired and armed by this experience, she established WISH in vasant vihar, New Delhi, to provide best diagnostic and interventional ultrasound and mammography services to women. She has to her credit 52 clinical radiology presentations including Journal publications – International and National conferences including best Paper award and best poster awards. She has been elected twice as the executive member of Indian Radiological & Imaging Association in 2015 and 2016. Besides running WISH, she is heading the Department of Clinical Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Jeewan Mala Hospital, New Rohtak Road, New Delhi & Apollo Spectra Hospital Karol Bagh, New Delhi. 🌙 Why women need more sleep than men

Research shows women’s brains use more energy during tasks involving memory, emotions, and decision-making. This higher metabolic demand means they require deeper restorative sleep.

🌸 Hormonal changes also play a role. Estrogen and progesterone fluctuations during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause often fragment sleep and reduce REM quality.

📊 Added to this is the “mental load” of multitasking and caregiving, which elevates stress hormones like cortisol and further disturbs rest.

🚨 Lack of adequate sleep in women increases the risk of anxiety, depression, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and menstrual irregularities.

💡 Women should prioritize 7–9 hours of sleep with good sleep hygiene — consistent schedules, reduced blue light, and nutrient-rich foods that support rest.

For the first time in history, a major cancer is on track to be eliminated as a public health problem. The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched a global cervical cancer elimination strategy with clear, measurable goals.

HPV vaccination can prevent up to 90% of cervical cancers, since almost all cases are linked to high-risk HPV strains.

Screening programs (Pap smear + HPV DNA test) detect precancerous changes early, when treatment is simple and highly effective.

WHO 90-70-90 targets by 2030:
✅ 90% of girls fully vaccinated with HPV vaccine by age 15
✅ 70% of women screened at least twice (age 35 & 45)
✅ 90% of women with cervical disease receive treatment
