Bleeding gums isn't necessary due to gum injury. It is the first sign of a disease and if ignored may progress into pyrrohea (periodontits).

Anything in excess is bad!
Be it brushing, flossing or a mouthwash...
1. Overzealous brushing causes tooth wear.
2. Excess of flossing causes gum injury.
3. Prolonged use of mouthwash kills good bacteria in the mouth and causes staining of teeth.

So pls consult your dentist for the right method, frequency and duration of the above mentioned oral hygeine measures. :)
