Do you know the power of the first 1000 days ? 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻👉🏻
So the 1000 days begin at conception, when a baby is conceived in the mother's womb. 🤰🏻
🤰🏻9 months of pregnancy= 270 days
👶🏻2 years after birth = 365x 2 = 730 days
🤱🏻So total 270 + 730 days = 1000 days
The baby's physical, mental and emotional health is mostly developed in these 1000 days
Any lack of nutrition can impair the baby's health for lifelong.
Many diseases related to malnutrition and deficiencies are linked to poor maternal health and poor nutrition in infancy.
So take care of your health and your baby's health by eating healthy meals during pregnancy, exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months , starting breastfeeding within one hour of birth and adding solids to baby's food after 6 months along with breastfeeding.

Keywords - 1000 days, poshan maah, exclusive breastfeeding

Eating saffron or coconut or ras gullas is not going to change the skin colour of your baby. Your baby's skin colour depends on your and your husband's skin colour.
The genetic material transferred to your baby from you and your husband will decide the ultimate skin colour of baby.
So don't fall into the trap of all this nonsense. Your baby is and will always be the most beautiful baby for you , whether fair , wheatish or dark skinned.

When mothers mix breastfeeding with bottle feeding then the newborn baby will develop ni**le confusion. Baby will demand more bottle feeding as it's easier and faster. As a result the baby will fill their stomach with bottle milk and reduce sucking on mother's breast. This leads to less milk production in mother and she gets caught in a vicious cycle of bottle feeding.
So its always better to give top milk by spoon or paladai if absolutely needed. Remember that exclusive breastfeeding for first six months is best for baby and mother 🤩

How to track your weight gain in pregnancy? 🤰🏻
🏵️Every time you visit your gynecologist, always measure your weight.
🏵️First 3 months= no weight gain or only 1 - 2 kg weight gain is normal ( sometimes even some weight loss is normal because of nausea and vomitting of early pregnancy)
🏵️From 4th month to 9 months= 2 kg weight gain per month is normal for normal BMI women.
This weight gain will be lower for overweight women or obese women.
For normal BMI women, a rough idea would be as follows -
Every week 0.5 kg weight gain
Every 15 days 1 kg weight gain
Every month 2 kg weight gain

How much weight gain is normal in pregnancy? 🤔🤰🏻
This depends on your pre pregnancy weight and BMI.
✅BMI is your body mass index
To calculate BMI measure your weight in kg and height in metres.
✅Then use this formula to calculate BMI= weight ( kg) / height ( square metres) .
🏵️Underweight if BMI< 18.5
🏵️Normal weight if BMI 18.5 to 24.9
🏵️Overweight if BMI> 25
🏵️Obese if BMI> 30

✅For normal BMI women, a weight gain of 12 to 16 kg is enough to deliver a healthy 3 kg baby.
✅For underweight women, a weight gain of 13 to 18 kg is expected.
✅For overweight women, a weight gain of 7 to 11 kg is enough.
✅For obese women, a weight gain of 5 to 7 kg is enough.
🤰🏻🤰🏻Excess weight gain can lead to multiple problems like
🤰🏻Hypertension
🤰🏻Gestational diabetes
🤰🏻Odema
🤰🏻Difficult delivery
🤰🏻Delayed recovery from delivery

The cost of a routine check is much less than the cost of treating an illness.
Prevention is always better than cure. Still many people shy away from going to a doctor for a routine check up and often land up in trouble when they are diagnosed with a major health problem.
This let's understand the importance of preventive medicine. and is the theme of this year's World health day.
Don't shy away from your routine check up . Instead take control of your life and be the healthy pilot of your flight.
