7-year-old boy, Hanny Kumar, whose detailed reports remind us how important timely diagnosis and investigations are for children.

📋 Step 1: CT Brain (Plain)
The CT Brain report shows no major abnormality in the brain. Cerebral hemispheres, brainstem, cerebellum, basal ganglia, and thalamus appear normal. No increased intracranial pressure was seen.
👉 Impression: No significant abnormality in CT Brain.
However, mild DNS (deviated nasal septum) and pansinusitis were noted, which may explain symptoms like headache or nasal obstruction.

📋 Step 2: Laboratory Investigations – TB Screening
Given the clinical suspicion, further tests were performed for Tuberculosis (TB).

CB-NAAT / PCR Test: Result showed TB Positive but Rifampicin resistance negative, which means tuberculosis is present but can be treated with standard first-line medicines.

CSF TB PCR (Xpert MTB/RIF): For checking involvement of brain/spinal fluid, the result came as TB Not Detected in CSF, which is a positive sign because it rules out TB meningitis.

✨ What This Means:
The child is diagnosed with a form of treatable TB, and early detection allows treatment with proper medications. With regular follow-up and strict compliance to medicines, TB is curable and the child can recover fully.

💡 Takeaway Message:

Always pay attention to persistent symptoms in children such as fever, weight loss, cough, or prolonged headache.

Timely imaging (CT/MRI) and laboratory tests (like CB-NAAT, PCR) are life-saving in reaching the right diagnosis.

Tuberculosis is curable when treated correctly and on time.
