Medicos Samaanta Sangathan " MSS "
Introduction :- MSS is an organisation of medical students , interns, junior residence , senior residence and senior Doctors of different medical colleges of India which organises free medical health awareness campaign in villages and semi urban areas on time to time usualy 2 times in a year preferably during summer vacation and during holidays as in DP vacation in collaboration with medical students belonging to near by villages and mainly focuses on preventive measures of communicable and preventable diseases and deals with health awareness speech at the starting of health check-up of school going children and peoples of villages belonging to low socio-economic status.
# Main purpose & mottos of MSS :-
1)To educate and spread health awareness among peoples belonging to low socio-economic status in villages and semi urban areas ,so that they could take advantage of medical facilities at proper time so that further complications of diseases may be prevented or reduced at national level.
2)It is generaly seen that our honest community of India gets easily trapped in MAYAJAAL of andha-biswas and under the darkness of puja-path and misconception of religion and they do not take advantage of medical facilities ,instead, they use to consult a BABA ,famous for his almighty power as Jadoo-tona,also known as messenger of God !
Such type of BABA even uses to treat the snakes' bites and dogs' bites which leads to death of honest peoples due to lack of health awareness and knowledge of sciences.
Being a medical student and a doctor, we can't bear it.
It is our responsibilities to stop it !
# AIMS & GOALS of MSS :-
1)To connect the peoples belonging to low socio-economic status with the mainstream of education and knowledge of sciences and health facillities & development by organising medical health awareness campaign in villages on time to time .
2)To provide platform for personality development of medicos and wide scope for medical research in endemic diseases in a particular environment and geographical areas .
3)Knowing the different cultures & customs in different areas of India and co-relating it with a particular disease which may provide an important medical clues in the diagnosis of diseases.
4)To develop a faith in relation of Doctors with their patients which is crucial now-a-days.
Because Doctor-Patient relation is seems to be on the verge of broken today due to professionalisation of medical system .Now-a-days, patient feels himself as a customer and Doctor as bussiness man , which was earlier known as second God !
Present scenerio is worst-thing for future of a Doctor and a patient, both.
5)It will be boon for the development of our country, a great, powerful and healthy nation in the world ! So that every community and religion in india may feel, proud to be an indian !!
# Do Nots of this organisation
1)No political issues will be discussed
2)Its our humble request to all of you that do not share unnecessory post & jokes
3)Do not co-relate this organisation to any caste or religion or political parties.
# Following medical aspects will be discussed in the medical health awareness campaign :-
1-Skin (fungal) infections & its prevention
2-Hook-worm infestation & anaemia
3-Anaemia in reproductive age group female & perinatal care in pregnancy.
4-National-Immunisation program and preventable diseases like Polio, TB,Hepetitis, Diptheria, Pertusis, Tetanus, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hemophilus influenza, & Pneumonia and its prevention by vaccination.
5-Diarrhoea & Disentry in children and importance of ORS.
6-Diabetes mellitus & Blood pressure.
7-Cataract and Glaucoma.
8-Malaria , Typhoid, JE fever, Dengue fever,Kala-azar and its prevention.
9-Blood transfusion and HIV-AIDS.
10-Burn & electric shock, Trauma, RTA-road traffic accidents, snakes bites & scorpion bites.
