ദേശീയ റോഡ് സുരക്ഷ മാസാചരണത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി പുനലൂർ സബ് ആർടിഒ ഓഫിസും Shankar’s Eye Hospital, പുനലൂരും സംയുക്തമായി സ്കൂൾ ബസ് ഡ്രൈവർമാർക്കായി സൗജന്യ നേത്ര പരിശോധന ക്യാമ്പ് 2026 ജനുവരി 27-ന് ശബരിഗിരി സ്കൂളിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.

ശബരിഗിരി സ്കൂൾ പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ ശ്രീമതി Reshmi M.R യുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ നടന്ന പരിപാടി പുനലൂർ ജോയിന്റ് ആർടിഒ ശ്രീ സുനിൽ ചന്ദ്രൻ ആർ. ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. സജിം ഷാ (വാഹന ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ, പുനലൂർ) സ്വാഗതം ആശംസിച്ചു. ക്യാമ്പിന്റെ വിശദീകരണം Shankar’s Eye Hospital ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി ഡയറക്ടർ ഡോ. ഷേർലി ശങ്കർ നിർവഹിച്ചു.

അത്യാധുനിക സജ്ജീകരണങ്ങളോടുകൂടിയ നേത്ര പരിശോധനയിൽ ഡയബറ്റിക് റെറ്റിനോപതി, ഗ്ലോക്കോമ തുടങ്ങിയ നേത്രരോഗങ്ങളുടെ നിർണയം നടത്തി. കൂടാതെ കണ്ണുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട എല്ലാ രോഗങ്ങളുടെയും വിശദമായ ബോധവത്കരണവും സൗജന്യമായി മരുന്നുകളുടെ വിതരണവും കുറഞ്ഞ നിരക്കിൽ തുടർ ചികിത്സയും കണ്ണട വിതരണവും ക്യാമ്പിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി നടന്നു. ക്യാമ്പിൽ 100ഓളം ഡ്രൈവേഴ്സ് പങ്കെടുത്തു

Shankar’s Eye Hospital സഹകരിച്ച് ഈ നേത്ര പരിശോധന ക്യാമ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് മുൻകൈ എടുത്ത സജിം ഷായ്ക്ക് (വാഹന ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ, പുനലൂർ) പ്രത്യേകം നന്ദി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
