IBS and SIBO can be hard to tell apart as they have similar symptoms like bloating, gas, pain, and either diarrhoea or constipation.

However, there are certain differences⬇️
➡️ SIBO affects the small intestine, whereas IBS affects the large intestine
➡️ SIBO is caused by low stomach acid that results in an overgrowth of bacteria while for IBS the causes include bacterial overgrowth in your intestines, infections in your GI tract, and food allergies or sensitivities
➡️ Probiotics and prebiotics, fibre are more likely to make SIBO worse and IBS better
➡️ The use of antibiotics gives a temporary improvement in SIBO symptoms but not in IBS symptoms

If you are confused about your symptoms, it's time to get a proper diagnosis! Make an appointment today with Solo GI Clinic for current testing and treatment options available. Call +919850089371!

A majority of Colorectal cancers start as benign polyps in the lining of the colon or re**um. They often show no symptoms in the early stages. Regular screening, such as colonoscopy, is crucial to detect precancerous polyps before they have the chance to turn malignant.
If you are over the age of 45 or have a family history of colorectal cancer, schedule a screening today 📞+919850089371 or book a visit on www.totalgicare.com.

If you are experiencing any of these unexplained symptoms for more than two weeks, it’s important to see our experts right away. They will evaluate and rule out cancer or other serious noncancer conditions, such as haemorrhoids, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease or infection.
