Lots of discussions happen in the clinic, with regard to premature requests by patients/ caregivers/ GPs to stop all medication for chronic mental health conditions (such as Schizophrenia & Mood disorders).
Here is a request...Trust your Psychiatrist & follow the advice as per guidelines please..

"Fight against illness, Fight against Stigma..
But not the medication"

Wide range of medication are available now, discuss with your Psychiatrist about Risk Vs Benefit approach...And choose the Best suitable option.
Include adjuvant psychotherapy, wherever indicated.
There is no evidence based substitute to medication, for severe mental health conditions, at least till now..
