Dear Friends,
With God's grace and blessings from you all, I am happy to share that I have successfully completed Thomas Jefferson University Epilepsy Program.
Epilepsy is a Neurological illness where patient get seizures/fits, intermittent unusual behaviour like staring look, involuntary movements of lips/hands and or associated with loss of consciousness.
It is one of the most common neurological illness and around 50 million people worldwide are suffering from Epilepsy. It can affect to any age/gender.
Upto 70% of Epilepsy patients could live seizure free life if diagnosed and treated by experts in medical field especially by a Neurologist.
In India and other parts of world, people with epilepsy and their families suffer from stigma and discrimination.
Any patient who suffer from seizure/Epilepsy should consult a nearby Neurologist doctor for the best possible treatment.
Seizures can be controlled. Many patients with Epilepsy may not get the appropriate treatment they need. This is called treatment gap. Let us break the treatment gap and pledge to spread love and care for people with Epilepsy.
