College of Optometry & PBMA’s H V Desai Eye Hospital (COHVDEH), is a pioneer institute in Western India, since 2000. It is a non-profit, non-government organization registered under the Society Registration Act 1960. From the vision and venture of some dynamic and optimistic visionaries and enthusiasts, since 2005, College of Optometry has developed itself into a confident optometry institution- making it one of the torch bearers of optometry of its kind in India, dedicated to promoting the science of optometry. The college is a forum of educationists, professionals and benefactors, in Western India, working for the development of optometric education and research for the advancement of professional practice in vision care. COHVDEH was founded in the year 2005, with the aim of providing higher education in optometry, the first of its kind in Western India. The campus is located Near Corianthan Club Hadapsar, Pune in the vicinity of peaceful environment free from the noise of the city. The institute has a high teacher- student ratio & promotes learning with equality and passion. COHVDEH started its journey in 2005, as a university affiliated college in Maharashtra, exclusively for graduate program in Optometry. COHVDEH, has grown into an institution, with high tech infrastructure with its own clinical set-up.
