Gut Health – The Good Bacteria

Not to creep you out, but there are trillions of bacteria, viruses and fungi living ON and IN our bodies🙊
Yes, this is the good bacteria required for the healthy functioning of the body.

This gut bacteria basically helps in improving digestion, producing nutrients and protect us from harmful germs.

Highly processed food destroys the ecosystem of this gut bacteria leading to health problems🤮

High fiber food such as vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts and fermented food play a vital role in boosting gut bacteria.
On the other hand, processed food isn’t good for the gut bacteria as they don’t get the fuel necessary for their survival🥰

The lesser the gut bacteria – more the digestion problems.

While vegetables, fruits, dark chocolate tea, coffee, wine, curd, pickle etc help in boosting gut bacteria, sodas, chips, burgers and heavy alcohol consumption are shown to be adversely affecting✅

✨Body Transformation –

When we use the term “weight loss”, it includes both LMB and FAT.
LMB, as discussed earlier, is loss or gain of muscle mass.
‘Muscle’ is a metabolically active tissue and the greater the muscle mass, greater is the body’s BMR.
Muscle is heavier than FAT but takes up less space.
Weight usually keeps fluctuating because of factors like water intake, amount of sleep, meals etc.

Also, other things that need to be in check –
• Your measurements
• Blood reports
• Difference in energy levels
• Development in strength
• Mood
• Enhanced performance level

These parameters give you a clear and definite insight of your health and fitness, and just not what you weigh on the scale! ✅

Now let me break it to you – DRINKING LEMON WATER DOES NOT HELP IN FAT LOSS!
In fact, there’s no ONE single thing that can help you lose fat.

Well to put it in simple words – energy required to carry on the vital functions!

• Heart Function
• Hormonal Transactions

Let’s understand Energy Expenditure first?
 About 10% of energy from the whole is spent on the thermogenic effect of the food that one consumes.
 25%-30% of the energy is spent on daily activities.
 Lastly, 65%-70% is utilized at resting state to maintain the internal functions of the body.

Well maybe now you can stop kicking yourself for not doing anything all day long 😂🙊

FACTORS AFFECTING BMR –
 Exercise
 Age
 S*x
 Body fat percentage
 Sleep
 Thyroid hormone
 Starvation

And many more. So yes, eating less gets you nothing, eating right is the rule! What you need to do is right exercise, right food and enough amount of sleep😌✨

These are the most popular methods: 👇🏻​😊

✅The 16/8 method: it involves skipping breakfast and restricting your daily eating period to 8 hours, such as 1–9 p.m. Then you fast for 16 hours in between.
✅Eat-Stop-Eat: This involves fasting for 24 hours, once or twice a week, for example by not eating from dinner one day until dinner the next day.
✅The 5:2 diet: With this method, you consume only 500–600 calories on two non-consecutive days of the week, but eat normally the other 5 days.
By reducing your calorie intake, all of these methods should cause weight loss as long as you don’t compensate by eating much more during the eating periods. 🙃
