A Story of Resilience, Care & Clinical Excellence

Krushnali began experiencing unusual weakness, along with changes in her eye movements and walking pattern. As her condition rapidly worsened, she was referred to Surya Hospitals for advanced and specialized treatment.

She was admitted under the expert supervision of Dr. Sachin Shah, Director – Neonatal & Pediatric Intensive Care, and Dr. Amita Kaul, HOD & Senior Consultant. After detailed evaluation, neurologist Dr. Vishvanath Kulkarni confirmed Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a serious neurological condition that had severely impacted her lungs and breathing.

Her condition was critical. Krushnali required ventilator support for more than 1 month, and a tracheostomy was performed to help her breathe. Our dedicated PICU team — Dr. Ganesh Shiwarkar, Dr. Nakul Pathak, and Dr. Pratiksha Gawkar — along with our compassionate nursing staff — Sister Sharadha, Vasumati, Vandana, Nisha, Pruthvik, and Prasad stood by her every moment, providing continuous, round-the-clock care.

Through clinical expertise, teamwork, and unwavering compassion, Krushnali showed remarkable strength and recovery. Today, her tracheostomy has been successfully removed, and she is breathing independently.

The baby of Neelam M. was admitted to Surya Hospitals, Wakad, with a sudden drop in hemoglobin and was immediately shifted to the NICU for specialized care, including treatment for anemia and jaundice.
