BITES
✔ACONITUM NAPELLUS:
This remedy can be helpful if a person feels fearful or panicked after being stung. Cutting, stabbing, or burning pain may be felt, along with swelling, tingling, or numbness. Aconitum should be used immediately, while symptoms are intense, and can be followed by another remedy, as indicated.
✔ALLIUM CEPA:
Sore and raw spots on feet, especially heel, from friction.(Shoe bite)“Efficacious
when feet are rubbed sore.” — Dioscorides.
✔ARNICA MONT:
For wasp bites, apply Arnica mother tincture externally and give Cantharis 200 internally.
✔ACID PHOS:
Involuntary biting of tongue in sleep.
✔AURUM TRIP:
Biting of nails and lip till they bleed.
✔APIS M:
For bee-stings producing oedema and swelling. This makes bee-keeper immune from effects of bee stings in which case it should be taken in IX or 6 dilution for some time.
✔BENZOIC ACID:
Involuntary biting, of lower lip when eating.
✔CANTHARIS:
This remedy may be indicated if a bite or sting results in intensely burning, scalding pain. The area of inflammation is red, and blisters may develop.
✔CAUSTICUM:
Bites tongue and cheeks while chewing.
✔CEDRON:
Serpent bites or of other venomous insects.
✔CISTUS CAN:
Bites by mad animals and in poisoned wound.
✔EUPHORBIA PROSTRATA:
An infallible remedy against bites of poisonous insects and snakes, especially the rattle snake.
✔GOLONDRINA:
An anti-dote to snake poisoning. Its use renders the body immune to the influence of snake poison and thus is a prophylactic.
✔HYPERICUM:
This remedy is known for its soothing effect on injuries to nerve-rich body areas. It is also useful after puncture wounds, including bites and stings. Shooting pains or pains with numbness and tingling often are experienced when Hypericum is needed.
✔IGNATIA:
Bites inside of the cheeks when talking or chewing. Biting of tongue when eating.
✔LACHESIS:
Bite by leeches, gangrenous. Is also specific for dog bite.
✔LEDUM P:
Bites by rats or scorpions. Apply Ledum Pal. mother tincture externally. It will give immediate relief in mosquito bites, stings of bees etc. Bites of angry animals.
✔LYSSIN:
Bites of dog; burning, better by hot steam. Headache due to dog bite. Peculiar sensations at seat or in adjacent parts, pricking sensation, boring and burning proceeding from wound.
✔NAJA TRIPUDIANS:
Causes no hæmorrhage but only œdema, hence the victims of this reptile frequently bear very little sign of external injury a small scratch or puncture being the only indication where the fangs have worked their havoc. The tissue lying beneath the wound is colored dark purple, and a large quantity of viscid blood-like fluid collects in the vicinity of the wound. An intense burning pain at the spot bitten is the first symptom. In man there follows an interval before fresh symptoms occur. The average is about an hour. Once developed, the symptoms follow a rapid course. A feeling of intoxication is produced, followed by a loss of power over the limbs. The patient is bereft of speech, swallowing, and the control over the movement of the lips. The saliva is ejected in large quantities, the respiration gradually becomes slower and slower, and at length ceases. Conscious all time. Is not a hæmorrhagic or septic, medicine like Lachesis and Crotalus.
✔OLEUM ANI:
Bites cheeks while eating.
✔PAEONIA:
Ulcers from ill-fitting shoes.Ulcer in general.
✔PHYTOLACCA:
Irresistible desire to bite the teeth and gums together.
✔SENEGA:
Bites by angry animals.
✔STAPHYSAGRIA:
When mosquito or other insect bites itch excessively or become large welts, this medicine should be given.
✔URTICA URENS:
An excellent remedy for bee stings. Outer application in mother tincture cures and gives instantaneous relief. It will work in the same way as Arnica Mont, to wasp bite. Also give Cantharis 200 internally.
