New to Ayurveda? Start by Listening to Your Body ๐ฟ
In Ayurveda, the journey to wellness begins with something beautifully simple: awareness. โจ
Are you truly hungry or just snacking out of habit? Is your digestion smooth, or is your body trying to tell you something?
Your body sends subtle signals every day โ through your appetite, energy levels, and even your stool โ and Ayurveda teaches us how to tune in and respond with care. ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
By making small, consistent shifts โ like adjusting your sleep routine, eating with the seasons (๐ผ Rutucharya), and aligning your day with natureโs rhythm (๐ Dinacharya) โ you can restore balance, energy, and clarity.
๐ธ Wellness doesnโt have to be overwhelming. It starts with one mindful step.

Gut health is trending today, but Ayurveda recognised its importance over 5,000 years ago. While Western medicine began exploring the link between digestion and mood in the late 19th century, Ayurveda has long emphasised that strong digestion is the foundation of overall health. Weak Agni (digestive fire) leads to toxin accumulation, which can manifest as various diseases.
What we now call โgut healthโ and โgut-brain connectionโ has been guiding Ayurvedic wisdom for millennia, proving that true wellness begins from within.

At KARE, healing is a personalised, three-step process that works in harmony to restore balance. Through Ayurveda, we provide treatments tailored to your Prakruti, ensuring that every therapy aligns with your specific needs. Our Iyengar Medical Yoga goes beyond exercise, using precise alignment and mobility restoration to promote healing and balance. Finally, our Satvik meals, crafted with healing herbs and fresh ingredients, nourish both your body and soul, guided by Ayurvedic principles. Together, these elements create a holistic approach to wellness, supporting your journey to complete healing.
๐ฟโจ Happy Ayurveda Day! โจ๐ฟ Ayurveda may be 5,000 years old โ but its wisdom hits harder than ever in todayโs fast-paced world. ๐
Itโs not just about herbs and massages (though we love those too ๐) โ itโs about tuning in to your body, eating with awareness, moving with purpose, and living in sync with nature. ๐๐๐
๐ก Daily rituals.
๐งโโ๏ธ Balanced routines.
๐ฅ Food that fuels, not just fills. ๐งโโ๏ธ Yoga, breath, and stillness.
Ayurveda is more than a wellness trend โ itโs a way of life. One mindful habit at a time, it helps us feel lighter, clearer, stronger from the inside out.
So today, we celebrate this timeless science โ but remember, Ayurveda isnโt just for one dayโฆ itโs for every day. ๐

Busting myths about Ayurveda is essential. Itโs like giving proper guidance for true healing. Not everyone seeking a cure should follow the same diet. In Ayurveda, your constitution (Prakruti), Vata, Pitta, or Kapha, determines what nourishes your body. The right food combinations can enhance your bodily balance. What works for one person may not work for another. Personalised nutrition is key to achieving true balance and long-term wellness.
At KARE, we focus on raising awareness about Ayurveda, body constitution, and personalised diets, while providing treatments rooted in authentic Ayurvedic principles.

In Ayurveda, food combinations can greatly affect digestion and overall balance. Some food combinations may cause bloating, heaviness, or poor nutrient absorption.
Milk & Fruits: Combining milk with fruits, especially sour ones, can curdle the milk and make it harder to digest. Vata types may experience gas, dryness, or bloating; Pitta types may face increased acidity and internal heat; Kapha types may feel heaviness, lethargy, or congestion.
Hot Water & Honey: Heating honey changes its composition, reducing its benefits. Vata types may have digestive issues and dryness; Pitta types may notice increased heat and irritation; Kapha types may experience heaviness and slowed metabolism.
Curd & Milk: Overloading the digestive system with dairy can affect all types. Vata may face bloating and uneven digestion; Pitta may experience acidity or inflammation; Kapha may feel heaviness, congestion, and sluggishness.
True nourishment comes from the right food combinations for your Prakruti. At KARE, we personalise diets to support digestion, balance, and long-term wellness.

At KARE, our mission is to change lives. You donโt have to live with chronic pain, obesity, and lifestyle illnesses. Perfect health is attainable. The KARE approach to health is a participatory process wherein each guest takes an active part in his own healing process.
KARE has evolved through the inspired vision of Dr Prakash Kalmadi, a practitioner of western medicine for over three decades. Dr. Kalmadi experienced a life transforming turn around with his own health issues with the regular practice of Yoga and Ayurvedic treatments. He created an integrative process using scientific and authentic Kerala Ayurveda treatments, the precision of Iyengar Medical Yoga , principles of Ayurvedic food combinations and meditation. Nature also has the innate capacity to heal. Set atop a hill, KARE overlooks the quiet waters of the Mulshi Lake against a backdrop of flowers and greenery. A world of timeless beauty where you can forget your daily worries and just focus on your own rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.
Our guests are taught to recognise and conform to a lifestyle best suited to their body constitution which also includes a diet that heals. The entire process has an emphasis on the prevention of diseases as well as the cure of ailments.
KARE is a space where you begin a journey to rediscover and regain the healthy you. KARE empowers one to live a wholistic life that keeps the body constitution or โdoshasโ balanced, aligns the body and mind and creates overall harmony.
The end of a guestsโ stay at KARE is not the end of the journey but rather the beginning of a new life, fortified and empowered with subtle lifestyle changes to attain perfect health.
