I’m truly delighted to share that Dr. Minal Modi, my better half, has successfully cleared the RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) Exam and is now a Certified Sleep Technologist by AMERICAN BOARD OF SLEEP MEDICINE 💤🎉

For years, I had aspired to appear for this exam myself, but time constraints and professional commitments never quite allowed it. Seeing her achieve this milestone fills me with immense pride and joy.

Dr. Minal has always been my shadow, my support, and my inspiration. Together, we’re now better equipped to enhance our sleep medicine practice, deliver deeper clinical insights, and score sleep studies at a higher level of precision and excellence.

I was fortunate to present a talk at the seventh International Conference of the South East Asian Academy of Sleep Medicine (SEAASM) in Chennai, within my specialty.

The conference proved highly successful, particularly due to the collaboration with the Australian Academy of Sleep Medicine, leading to the development of further initiatives in India to enhance sleep medicine training, diagnostic, and therapeutic services.

This distinctive platform unites multiple sleep specialists from various disciplines, including ENT, surgery, psychiatry, neurology, dentistry, and pulmonology.

My recent presentation at the Indore IMA and Chest Association underscored the significance of recognizing the decline in immunity with age and stressed the necessity of adult vaccination against diseases such as flu, pneumonia, and shingles.

Similar to childhood vaccination, adult vaccination, especially for parents, should be prioritized.

Significantly, only vaccines and safe water have been shown to reduce mortality rates among healthy adults more effectively than antibiotics, highlighting the importance of prevention over treatment.

It was a pleasure speaking to an august audience of around 200 Pulmonologists on National platform at Kolkata and explaining them a topic close to my heart, Sleep Health!

This SunRise programme is an yearly event with the collaboration with CHEST, an American association and this year we were blessed to have Prof. Roland Buhl from Germany 🇩🇪, Prof Dr. David Halpin from UK 🇬🇧 and Dr. Vincent Cottin from France 🇫🇷

It was a very well appreciated talk 🗣️ and had good interaction with the delegates and other other Indian 🇮🇳 faculty!
