Its not just about looking good... It's also about feeling good!!!
Many many thanks to dear Neha. Actually, a mere thank you seems so inadequate. Words are not enough to express what I want to convey... immense joy, a sense of achievement and many more such positive sentiments.
I have been on a diet schedule since October, 2016. The diet plans have always been well structured and customised to my needs and the result has been amazing. I lost 10 kgs in the first 3 months and now my body weight is 18 to 19 kgs lesser than what it used to be when I initially started. All this weight loss has been possible with occasional breaks and travel.
I always felt that dieting is a tough job... that it's all about cutting down on your favourite foods and maintaining a strict regime, time table and difficult schedules. But I was wrong to think so! The journey of introducing and adapting to a well balanced diet as a daily routine, under Neha's guidance, has been wonderful. Looking back, I can't remember any instance where I felt deprived or tired or wanted to give up. Infact, there was always an eagerness to know my new diet plan for the coming week :)
There is also a general fear about putting back the extra kilos once you are not on an active diet programme. But this is again not true... It is very much possible to maintain and enjoy your regular meals.
On the whole, from my experience I would like to share some useful insights......
One can follow a diet schedule only if one continues to stay interested.... to keep the interest going and to stay motivated are, therefore, the key aspects. On both these counts, I have received a lot of encouragement from Neha. Her frequent follow ups on my progress, peppy messages of motivation on whats app, and new diet plans that are easy to prepare and follow have been very helpful. Also, what I liked about my diet meals is that they are interesting and I get to experiment, ingredients are easily available and there is a touch of traditional value to it. In fact, I have come to the conclusion that dietary approach is the best way to resolve and check many health issues.
Losing weight and more importantly moving on to a more health conscious way of life has given a positive boost to my morale. It's also a wonderful feeling to receive compliments! :)
