Everywhere you look today children are glued to screens instead of the world around them.

During screen time, children miss executive function i.e., planning, focusing, and managing multiple tasks.

Moreover, high screen time increases their likelihood of hyperactivity by
39% and emotional distress by 21%.

One of the best ways to reduce screen dependence is to replace it with physical activity.

On average, physical activity is linked to an increase of about 4 IQ points equivalent to 1 extra year of school and ~ 30% higher cognitive performance.

Exercise also helped improve fluid intelligence (skills like problem-solving and logical thinking).

In a trial involving people with insomnia, those who followed a 12-week program of combined cardio and strength training (45 mins/day for 3 days/week) slept longer, had better sleep quality, and felt less tired during the day
