So, what exactly is Vitamin D?

Vitamin D is not just a vitamin it's actually a hormone your body produces when your skin is exposed to sunlight (UVB rays). It's fat-soluble, meaning it gets stored in your body's fatty tissue and liver for later use.
Where does it come from?

Your body absorbs Vitamin D through three main sources:
β˜€οΈ Sunlight β€” the most natural and effective source
πŸ₯š Food β€” fatty fish, egg yolks, fortified milk & cereals
πŸ’Š Supplements β€” especially important if you have limited sun exposure

And here's where it gets important for your bones...
Vitamin D plays a critical role in calcium absorption. Without adequate Vitamin D, your intestines can only absorb 10–15% of the calcium you consume. With it? That shoots up to 30–40%.
