On second day of two-day National Seminar on "Sustaining Comprehensive Feat of the Conservation Approaches for Endangered Species of Medicinal Plants of Chhattisgarh State using Artificial Intelligence" on 31st October 2025, Dr. Vinod D. Rangari, Retd. Professor, Department of Pharmacy, Gurughasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur was the esteemed expert. Sir explained his projects done on medicinal plants. Another expert for the second session of the day was Dr. Kaushlesh Mishra, Assistant Professors, Awdhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, M.P. During the sessions all the dignitaries were present including Prof. Ravindra Kumar Pandey, Principal, CIP; Prof. Trilochan Satapathy, Professor; Dr. Beena Gidwani, Associate Professor; Mr. Gunjan Kalyani, Convenor of the seminar; Mr. Sagar Sahu, Organizing Secretary of the seminar; and all faculty members.
The poster presentation session was followed after the sessions. In the second half the valedictory ceremony was organized. All the winners of the poster presentation session were awarded with certificates and medals. The program ended with a vote of thanks presented by Mr. Gunjan Kalyani, and a feedback session.

Columbia Institute of Pharmacy, Raipur, successfully organized a two-day National Seminar on "Sustaining Comprehensive Feat of the Conservation Approaches for Endangered Species of Medicinal Plants of Chhattisgarh State using Artificial Intelligence" on October 30-31, 2025. The seminar was sponsored by the Chhattisgarh Tribal Local Health Traditions and Medicinal Plant Board and co-sponsored by Jan Pragati Education Society, Raipur.
The inaugural function was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Vimal Kumar, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Dean, School of Sciences and Paramedical, and Dean, Doctoral Studies, ITM Baroda University, Vadodara, Gujarat, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries included Shree Harjeet Singh Hura, Secretary, Jan Pragati Education Society; Prof. Ravindra Kumar Pandey, Principal, CIP; Prof. Trilochan Satapathy, Professor; Dr. Beena Gidwani, Associate Professor; Mr. Gunjan Kalyani, Convenor of the seminar; Mr. Sagar Sahu, Organizing Secretary of the seminar; and all faculty members.
The inaugural function commenced with Saraswati Puja, followed by speeches from the dignitaries and the felicitation of guests. The first plenary lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Vimal Kumar, who shared insightful information on endangered medicinal plants, superfoods, the importance of millets in daily life, and various AI tools that can be used to determine important aspects related to medicinal plants.
The second plenary lecture was presented by Dr. Akanksha Pandey, Assistant Professor, Department of Science, KDRCST, Krishna Vikash Group of Institutions, Raipur, who discussed AI applications in handling medicinal plants. Over 150 participants attended the seminar, and a poster presentation session was organized, attracting more than 45 student participants.
