Columbia College, Raipur (C.G.) organized a two-day "Eco-Friendly Earthenware" workshop on 09 and 10 March, 2026. The objective of this workshop was to familiarize the pupil teachers with environmentally friendly traditional clay craft and to develop their creative skills. The resource person for the workshop was renowned sculptor of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Pawan Dhiwar, Tekari, Raipur, who provided practical training to the pupil teachers on the process of preparing clay and creating the traditional Rajasthani Gangaur Idol.
On the first day, Mr. Pawan Dhiwar was welcomed with a bouquet by Ms. Rekha Yadav, Assistant Professor. During the session, pupil teachers were introduced to the techniques of preparing clay and shaping it into artistic forms. They actively participated in the activity and created attractive Gangaur Idols using clay. They were also informed in detail about the importance of eco-friendly craft practices.
On the second day, a practical training session was conducted in which Mr. Pawan Dhiwar guided the participants on the structure of the idol, coloring, decoration, and traditional artistic styles. At the end of the program, Vice-Principal Dr. Abha Dubey honored Mr. Pawan Dhiwar with a memento as a token of appreciation. Ms. Rekha Yadav, Assistant Professor, delivered the vote of thanks and encouraged the pupil teachers to participate in such creative and eco-friendly activities in the future.

Seven day NSS Camp by CIP Raipur was inaugurated at Village Chhapora, Raipur, Chhattisgarh today, March 09, 2026.
The event was graced by Up Sarpanch Shri Sanat Dewangan, Gram Patwari along with Prof Ravindra Kumar Pandey Sir, Prof Trilochan Satpathy Sir, Programme Officer, Mr Sagar Sahu Sir.
Principal, Prof Ravindra Kumar Pandey highlighted the NSS background and advised Volunteers to follow the NSS Motto "Not me but you". Prof Trilochan Satpathy also highlighted the postive aspects of NSS and its services to society.
Up Sarpanch Shri Sanat Dewangan also appreciated the efforts and work of NSS Volunteers in Village by camping.
41 NSS volunteers along with other villagers were also present on this occasion.

On 9th March, the Literary Club of Columbia Institute of Pharmacy Raipur organized a program to celebrate International Women's Day in the college. The event aimed to appreciate and celebrate the strength, achievements, and contributions of women.
Two fun and engaging activities were organized for the teachers. The first activity was Compliment Circle, where Dr. Monika Bhairam, Assistant Professor, CIP, shared some inspirational thoughts, which motivated and encouraged everyone present.

The second activity was Musical Chair, which created a lively and cheerful atmosphere. The teachers enthusiastically participated in the game, making the celebration enjoyable for everyone.

The program was simple yet meaningful, and it helped in creating a positive and joyful environment while celebrating the spirit of International Women's Day.

Columbia Institute of Pharmacy's Literary Club celebrated Honourable Prof. M.L Shroff's birth anniversary which is observed as *National Pharmacy Education Day* across India on March 6, 2026. The event started with a remark on inspiring life and valuable contributions made in the field of Pharmacy by Prof. M.L Shroff's given by Prof. Ravindra Pandey, Principal, CIP and a speech by Mr. Somesh Agrawal.
Prof. M. L. Schroff is known as the father of pharmacy education in India.
The theme for this year, announced by the Pharmacy Council of India, was *“Future Pharma Ecosystem: Fostering Synergy among Academia, Industry, Research, Regulatory and Practice”*. The theme emphasized the importance of collaboration among various sectors to strengthen the future of the pharmaceutical field.

To make the event engaging and interactive, the Literary Club organized two activities in which students from each class participated enthusiastically. The first activity, *Pharma Decode*, required participants to decode pharmaceutical terms and concepts displayed on the screen. The second activity, *Picturica*, was a drawing-based game where participants illustrated pharmaceutical words while their teammates guessed the correct term.

On 09 March 2026, a Post Budget Webinar was organized by the University Grants Commission under the Ministry of Education to explain the initiatives announced in the Union Budget 2026-27. The webinar was held on the theme "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas- Fulfilling Aspirations of People" and focused on Education, Skills, and University Townships. The session brought together academicians, experts, teachers, and representatives from different ministries to discuss the effective implementation of new educational and skill development initiatives.

During the webinar, discussions were held on linking education with employment opportunities, strengthening the Creative Industry (AVGC sector) including Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Content Creation, and expanding institutions such as the National Institute of Design. Other important initiatives included the development of University Townships, establishment of girls' hostels for STEM institutions in every district, and implementation of Divyangjan Kaushal Yojana to provide skill training for differently-abled youth. In his address, Hon'ble Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India highlighted the importance of modern skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship for young people. The webinar emphasized collaboration among institutions and ministries to make the education system more inclusive, skill-based, and employment-oriented.

📢 *MIC Driven Activity Conducted Successfully*

Columbia Institute of Pharmacy, Raipur (IIC ID: IC202425311) successfully organized the *Post Budget Webinar 2026–27* on *9th March 2026, based on the theme *“Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas – Fulfilling Aspirations of People.”* The webinar was organized as part of the **MIC Driven Activity under Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)* initiative.

Faculty members and students enthusiastically participated in the live session where *Hon’ble Prime Minister addressed the nation, highlighting the government’s vision for **education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development*.

* Strengthening the *Education–Employment–Enterprise ecosystem* to enhance employability and innovation.

The session provided valuable insights into the *implementation of Union Budget 2026–27 announcements related to education, skills, and innovation, inspiring students and faculty to actively contribute towards the vision of **Viksit Bharat*.

On the occasion of International Women's Day (08-03-2026), Columbia College, Raipur organized a speech competition on 09 March 2026 on the topic "Role of Women in India's Progress (in the fields of Education and Profession)." pupil teachers participated with great enthusiasm and shared their views on the role of women in social, educational, and economic development.

The participants were judged on the basis of content, presentation, clarity of language, confidence, and time management by the judges Dr. Neelam Arora and Dr. Raj Dewangan. According to the judges' decision, Ms. Bhawna Rani Sahu, B.Ed. IV-Semester secured the first position, Ms. Lalita Verma, D.El.Ed. 2nd Year secured the second position, and Mr. Harish Kumar, B.Ed. IV-Semester secured the third position.
