The story that changed how I see wellness forever - as 99% nutrition advice comes from people who've never followed it themselves.
STORY TIME 👇
A mother once asked Gautam Buddha to tell her son to stop eating jaggery.
Buddha said, "Come back in 5 days."
When she returned, he gave the advice, and her son listened.
The mother asked, "Guruji, why did you make me wait 5 days for such a simple request?"
Buddha replied, "Because I needed to try it myself first. I wanted to see if I could do it."
This is what's missing in the wellness industry today.
⚠️ Too many nutritionists hand out meal plans they've never followed.
⚠️ Too many coaches recommend routines they've never stuck to.
⚠️ Too many experts preach discipline they don't practice.
And people can feel it.
At Nutrishilp, I made a promise to myself,
I don’t recommend what I haven’t experienced.
If I suggest intermittent fasting, I've done it.
If I advise waking up early, I've felt what 5 a.m. looks like.
If I recommend building habits, I've struggled through it myself.
Not perfectly, but genuinely.
Because when you've walked the path, you guide with empathy.
You know the real struggles, not just the textbook ones.
You become what you're advising others to be.
And that's the only way real transformation happens.
Your body deserves guidance from someone who's been there. 🌿
Do you think wellness professionals should practice what they preach?
