🩺 Right Trochanteric Pressure Ulcer – Timely Treatment is Protection

A pressure ulcer is a wound caused by prolonged pressure on a particular part of the body, leading to damage of the skin and underlying tissues. The right trochanter (side area of the thigh bone) is most commonly affected in patients who remain lying down for long periods.

Causes

Remaining in the same position for too long (lying down / sitting)

Reduced blood circulation

Nutritional deficiencies

Diabetes, old age, limited mobility

Symptoms

Redness or blackening of the affected area

Swelling, pain

Skin breakdown or deep wound formation

Foul smell / infection

Treatment & Care

Keep the wound clean

Use special cushions / mattresses to reduce pressure

Antibiotics / regular dressing changes

Diet rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals

Dr. S Sambasiva Rao, MBBS, MS, DO with over 35 years of experience and being a product of Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam has not only been one of the senior-most in town but has been a part of the team to first bring LASIK to our town. He has been handling eye trauma injuries and giving the best possible results.

Dr. S Ratnamala, MBBS, FCGP is a product of Guntur Medical College and has been extending her services for 35 years as well. She always receives her patients with a very welcoming smile because of which most of her patients stick to her and never get satisfied elsewhere.

Dr. S K Raghu Ram, MBBS, D.Ortho, DNB Ortho is a product of Manipal university which has consistently been in the Top 5 Medical colleges of India. He has passed out with a gold medal to his name in Orthopedics from KMC, Manipal after which he continued his training under Prof. Devadoss, IORAS Madurai and has been serving people of Rajahmundry for over two years now. He is also known for his patience and gentle smile which itself is very assuring to the patient.

Dr. Shalini, MBBS, DNB, Mch Plastic Surgery is getting trained in Stanley Medical College which is one of the best Govt. Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu. She is going to extend her services very soon.
