National Geriatric Day Celebration

On 3/10/2025, the Department of Kayachikitsa, organized a heartfelt visit to “Dikra Nu Ghar” old age home in Rajkot with our final-year students.

The program featured:
*Yoga & Pranayama session led by students.
* Enlightening talks on geriatric diseases and preventive care by Dr. Shreekant Mundada, Dr. Vinita Sharma, and our student Devangi Vasani.
* General health check-up and distribution of medicated oil

This initiative not only fostered physical and mental wellness among the elderly but also instilled empathy and awareness in our students about the importance of healthy ageing and preventive healthcare.

Grateful appreciation to Dr. Manoj Pande sir, Director ACH, RKU, for his guidance.

Department of Dravyaguna, Ayurvedic College and Hospital, organised a Forest visit to Jatashankar-Junagadh on date 19th September. 2 nd Professional BAMS students, observed various medicinal plants.
It includes plants like Viparita lajjalu, Kapikacchu, Apamarga, Kutaja, Musali, Hansaraj, Bala etc. With the help of Faculty members, Dr. Shweta Shetty and Dr. Swati Gavadiya, students learned the identification characters of different medicinal plants with its clinical aspects.
We are thankful to our director Dr. Manoj Pande for continuous support in the smooth conduction of the education visit.

On the occasion of National Nutrition Week and National Ayurveda Day 2025, the Department of Swasthavritta evum Yoga, proudly organized a National Level Digital Poster Making Competition on the theme: “Nutraceutical Recipes in Adolescents”

We received an overwhelming response from UG, PG, and PhD scholars across India Each poster showcased exceptional creativity and depth, making it a tough task for our jury to select the winners!

🌿🚶‍♀️ Celebrating the 10th National Ayurveda Day with a Walkathon! 🚶‍♂️🌿

On Tuesday, September 23, the Race Course Ring Road in Rajkot came alive with energy and purpose as R.K. University Ayurved College and Hospital take part in a walkathon to mark the 10th National Ayurveda Day from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, over 100 enthusiastic students from the Ayushamrut Club, along with dedicated faculty members, rallied together to spread the powerful message: "Ayurveda for People and Planet."

This inspiring event highlighted Ayurveda’s vital role in promoting both personal health and environmental harmony. A heartfelt thanks to Director Dr. Manoj Pande, whose unwavering support and guidance ensured the walkathon’s smooth ex*****on and meaningful impact.

📍 Educational Visit to Glister Food Industry, Rajkot On 22nd Sept 2025, 51 students of 2nd Prof BAMS (Admission Batch 2022) from Department of Swasthavritta evum Yoga explored food processing, safety, and export standards at Glister Food Industry.

They learned about raw material handling, packaging, aflatoxins in peanuts, cold storage, and global certifications like FSSAI, BRC & HACCP.
