Neelam Hospital has introduced Punjab’s first Zero-Contrast Angioplasty services, bringing major relief to patients suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD).
✔️ In traditional angioplasty, contrast dye is used, which can be risky for kidney patients.
✔️ Many CKD patients avoid or delay angioplasty because the contrast dye can further damage their kidneys.
💙 Under the leadership of Dr. Himanshu Gupta (Interventional Cardiologist), Neelam Hospital has successfully performed its first Zero-Contrast Angioplasty using state-of-the-art Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)–Guided Angioplasty.
⚕️ This advanced technology allows the entire procedure to be done without using contrast dye, making it much safer for patients whose kidneys are already weak.
✔️ The patient treated had extremely low kidney function and could not tolerate normal angioplasty with dye.
✔️ Using the IVUS technique, the medical team was able to perform a precise and completely dye-free angioplasty, preventing further kidney damage.
This breakthrough makes Neelam Hospital one of the leading centers in North India to provide safe and modern angioplasty options for renal failure patients.
💙 It opens new hope for CKD patients who earlier had limited treatment options due to kidney-related risks.
