💫 A Story of Courage and Healing 💫

This 13-year-old girl came to us with severe headache, vomiting, and loss of balance. MRI revealed a large tumor in the posterior part of her brain causing raised pressure.
She underwent successful brain surgery, and the tumor was completely removed. Fortunately, it was non-cancerous.

A 60-year-old lady came to us unconscious, on a ventilator, with a giant brain tumor (olfactory groove meningioma). After a 10-hour successful surgery, the tumor was completely removed. Just 3 months later, she is fully conscious, walking without support, and back to her daily life.

Spine fractures can be disabling and result in paralysis due to injury to the spinal cord. Quick recognition and early management are the keys to good results.
This 30yr old gentleman was brought to hospital after an accident with partial paralysis in right arm and leg. He was detected to have an odontoid (C2) fracture, which is a critical part of the neck vertebra. Injury in this region can result in complete paralysis and difficulty in breathing, which may even require ventilation in certain cases. He underwent fracture fixation surgery, and a procedure known as C1-C2 fusion was done using screws and rods. One month after the accident and with intensive physiotherapy, the patient had a near total recovery in power in all limbs.

Timely surgery in spine injuries can prevent a lifetime of disability.
