Reasons why you should become a life member of IRIA
1. You are a Radiologist.
2. ‘Indian Radiological & Imaging Association’ (IRIA) has more than 27000. members all over the country.
3. IRIA is the largest professional association (registered) to promote the study and practice of Radio-diagnosis and Imaging.
4. IRIA protects and preserve the interest of members.
5. IRIA has 23 state chapters. By becoming a member of IRIA, one becomes the member of the state chapter also.
6. Provides privilege to attend National Annual Conference of ‘Indian Radiological & Imaging Association’.
7. Provides privilege to attend the Sono Summit of IRIA, which is a conference organized by IRIA exclusively on Ultrasound.
8. Provides an opportunity to attend regular CME programs and Conferences of the State Chapters.
9. Provides an opportunity to attend regular online Teaching Programs and onsite CME programs conducted by its academic wing called ‘Indian College of Radiology & Imaging’.
10. Provides an opportunity to attend (i) Resident Training Program for residents/young radiologists, apply for IRIA International Travel Fellowship Grant, and IRIA National Conference Fellowship Grant.
11. Provides to apply for Oration/Awards of IRIA- Dr. J.C. Bose Memorial Oration, Dr. Diwan Chand Aggarwal Memorial Oration, Dr. M.L. Aggarwal Memorial Oration, Dr. K.M. Rai Memorial Oration, Dr. H. Satishchandra Memorial Oration, Dr. Kakarla Subbarao Memorial Oration and Dr. Kishor Taori Award.
12. Provides credit hours for its CME programmes and Conferences.
13. Bestows Fellowship of ‘Indian College of Radiology & Imaging’ – “FICR” as per eligibility criteria.
14. Member can take MICR Examination which is conducted by ICRI. MICR is the exam based certification designed to establish a uniform and higher standard of Radiology examination of international quality.
15. Member can apply for one year Sub-specialty Fellowships of ICRI (F-ICRI).
16. ‘Indian College of Radiology & Imaging’ organizes Orations and Awards.
17. Provides free e-Journals (Indian Journal of Radiology & Imaging), Indographics and Case Reports in Clinical Radiology.
18. Provides free IRIA News Bulletin (e-bulletin)- February, June and October issues.
19. Solves the Trade Complaints of its members and organizes Trade Relations Committee meetings.
20. Supports the family of the members through the Social Security Scheme of IRIA, which provide monetary help upto Rs 14 lakhs. The member needs to join the Scheme.
21. IRIA is both a professional and social platform for Radiologists.
22. Provides an opportunity to serve with dignity and participate in social service programs like “Save the Girl Child”. IRIA has ‘Raksha’ program, which is a social movement of IRIA for the under privileged mothers and daughters.

30. IRIA is represented in Central Supervisory Board for PC & PNDT Act.
31. IRIA comes out with guidelines for “Purchase of Equipment’s”.
32. IRIA assists Government and non-Governmental agencies in matters pertaining to Radiology and Medical Imaging.

The provision of direct membership is only for those, who are in Defence/All India Central Govt. Service like Railways and or other similar organizations, liable for frequent All India transfer and or place where, there is no State/UT Chapter.
