"Recently, my 90 Year-old grandmother had to undergo a minor treatment at Rangpo Hospital. Along with my uncle and his wife, we took her to the hospital located at Rangpo Bazar. I reached a little late as I was travelling from Gangtok to Rangpo, and by the time I arrived, my uncle had already consulted the doctor on duty. Some tests had been done, and the doctor had asked us to wait for the reports.

Around 1 PM, the reports arrived, and one of the nurses advised me to take them to the doctor. As I proceeded towards the doctor’s cabin, I came across a wonderful lady on duty who was standing near the doctor’s door. She clearly knew her responsibility and fulfilled her duty with sincerity and kindness. I was truly amazed by how she treated me—she was genuinely concerned that I meet the doctor immediately to understand the report clearly. Even when I stepped aside to attend some phone calls, she insisted that I remain near the doctor’s door so that I wouldn’t miss my turn. Her dedication touched my heart.

The nurses and all officials at Rangpo Hospital guided us with care and compassion, helping us understand how to manage and cure the wounds my grandmother is suffering from. Despite being a small hospital, the warmth, kindness, and professionalism shown by every staff member truly left a lasting impact on me and my family.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of the officials, nurses, and doctors at Rangpo Hospital. The work they are doing is exceptional, and their humanity deserves to be appreciated."

The pre-vector survey was conducted by State Entomological team in collaboration with MOIC DrN.T.Bhutia ,President RNP Mr Sanjeev Khati and MEO Mr Suren Tamang and staff of RNP as part of vector-borne disease prevention and control measures, particularly targeting dengue and chikungunya. The objective was to assess mosquito breeding sites and take timely vector control actions to prevent any potential outbreak for upcoming Ama Samman Diwas to be held at Rangpo on 10th August.
All households were sensitized on source reduction and mosquito control.Also identified breeding containers were emptied
Further more President RNP and MEO (RNP) was asked to call for active cleanliness at High-risk areas at Goli ground areas.
Fogging (dawn and dusk)will be initiated from 8th Aug evening till 10th morning.

HWC-PHC Rangpo Successfully Conducted School Health Program at Singlebong Government Junior High School under RBSK.

31/07/2025: A successful School Health Program was conducted at Singlebong Government Junior High School by the team of HWC-PHC Rangpo under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), with active support from HWC-SHC West Pendam.

As part of the program, the health team carried out general health check-ups and administered necessary vaccinations to the students.

A comprehensive health education session was conducted by the Health Educator, focusing on World Hepatitis Day and mental health and well-being. Students were guided on how to handle stress and maintain good mental health.

Additionally, a session on SPAN (Su***de Prevention and Action Network) was conducted to help students understand the importance of speaking up, seeking help, and supporting one another.

After the health education session, an interactive question-and-answer round was held to engage students and reinforce learning.

Prizes were distributed to students who actively participated and answered correctly, encouraging enthusiasm and awareness.

Various IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials were also handed over to the school teacher for continued awareness and future reference, ensuring sustained health promotion at the school level.

Together, let us continue working hand in hand to nurture healthy habits and empower our children with knowledge and values.

A healthy child is the foundation of a strong nation.

HWC-PHC Rangpo conducted Anti-Dengue Drive at IBM, Rangpo.

17/07/2025: HWC-PHC Rangpo carried out an anti-dengue awareness and checking drive under the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP).

The health team:
✅ Educated people on how to prevent dengue and malaria
✅ Checked for mosquito breeding sites
✅ Advised everyone to keep their surroundings clean and avoid stagnant water

The local community showed great support and actively participated in the campaign.

Together, we aim for a dengue-free and healthy Rangpo!
