Patient Story – Overcoming Fear of Dental Treatment
A patient visited the OPD with severe pain but was extremely fearful of tooth extraction due to a past painful dental experience.
After carefully explaining the condition and the need for treatment, the patient was counseled regarding the severity of the problem and the benefits of extraction of the upper second molar and third molar. Although initially hesitant, she agreed to proceed.
Local anaesthesia was administered and the extraction was carried out smoothly. To her surprise, the procedure was comfortable, and she expressed great happiness and satisfaction with the treatment provided.
