Advent Flag Hoisting- SMH Christmas Season Begins

Theme for 2025: “YOU HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN” – 1 Peter 1:23

This morning, Scudder Memorial Hospital stepped into the Christmas season with the Advent Flag Hoisting at the hospital lawn. It was a beautiful time of prayer and reflection as we remembered the truth of this season, that in Christ, we are made new, restored, and born again into a living hope.

FREE WILL GIFTS Distribution (Dec 1–10) Begins… We are also glad to begin our yearly Free Will Gifts for the Poor, from December 1st to 10th, reaching out to those in need with love and compassion.

Every gift shared reflects the heart of SMH:

ACLS Training Conducted at SMH

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training was successfully conducted for our clinical team at Scudder Memorial Hospital, Ranipet.

Our staff received hands-on training in identifying cardiac emergencies, performing advanced resuscitation techniques, using emergency equipment, and managing critical care scenarios with confidence. This program strengthens our commitment to high-quality emergency response and ensures that every patient receives prompt, skilled, and life-saving care when it matters the most.

BLS Training for Our Hospital Staff at SMH

We successfully conducted Basic Life Support (BLS) training for our staff, equipping them with the essential skills to respond confidently during emergencies. From CPR techniques to hands-on practice with mannequins, our team engaged wholeheartedly, learning how to save lives with timely action and proper technique.

This training strengthens our commitment to providing safe, skilled, and compassionate care for every patient who walks through our doors.

இராணிப்பேட்டை மாவட்ட காவல்துறையினர், விபத்து மற்றும் மாரடைப்பு போன்ற ஆபத்தான சூழ்நிலைகளில் பொதுமக்களுக்கு எவ்வாறு முதலுதவி வழங்க வேண்டும் என்பது தொடர்பாக காவல்துறையினருக்கு பயிற்சி அளிக்கும் வகையில், மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் திருமதி அய்மன் ஜமால், இ.கா.ப., அவர்களின் உத்தரவின்படி இன்று Scudder Memorial Hospital சார்பில் டாக்டர் இம்மானுவேல் சதீஷ் அவர்களின் தலைமையில் மருத்துவ நிபுணர்களால் காவல்துறையினருக்கு
மாவட்ட காவல் அலுவலகத்தில் பொம்மை மனித உடல் மற்றும் மின்திரை மூலம் செயல்முறை விளக்கத்துடன் பயிற்சி வழங்கப்பட்டது.

❇️ இந்த முதலுதவி பயிற்சி வகுப்பில் விபத்தில் காயம் அடைந்தவர்களுக்கு உதவி செய்வதன் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்தும், எவ்வாறு முதலுதவி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்பது குறித்தும் எடுத்துரைக்கப்பட்டது. விபத்து நடந்த நிமிடத்தில் இருந்து,பாதிக்கப்ட்டவர்களை மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்க்கும் வரை உள்ள நேரம் மிகவும் பொன்னானது. ஆகவே அவர்களை எவ்வளவு விரைவாக மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்க இயலுமோ அந்த அளவு வெகு விரைவாக மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதித்து அவர்களது உயிரை காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும் என்பது உட்பட பல்வேறு முதலுதவி பயிற்சிகள் குறித்து எடுத்துரைத்தனர்.

❇️ மேலும் விபத்தால் பாதிக்கப்படுபவர்களுக்கு காவல்துறையினர் மட்டுமல்லாமல் பொதுமக்களும் உதவுவதற்காகவே அரசு "குட் சமாரிட்டன் சட்டம்” (Good Samaritan Law) என்ற சட்டத்தை இயற்றியுள்ளது. இதன்படி இதுபோன்று பாதிக்கப்பட்டு உயிருக்கு ஆபத்தான நிலையில் போராடிக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்களை பொதுமக்கள் மனிதாபிமானத்தோடு, அவர்களை அருகிலுள்ள மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு சென்று சிகிச்சைக்கு அனுமதிக்கலாம், சிகிச்சைக்கு அனுமதிப்பவர்களிடம் எந்த மருத்துவமனையும் முதலுதவி அளிக்க மறுக்கவோ அல்லது அதற்கு கட்டணம் கேட்கவோ கூடாது. அதே போன்று மருத்துவமனையிலோ, காவல்துறையினரிடமோ உதவி செய்பவர்கள் பெயர் மற்றும் முகவரி போன்ற விபரங்களை தெரிவிக்க வேண்டிய அவசியமில்லை. விபத்தில் காயம்பட்டவர்களுக்கு உதவும் பொதுமக்களின் பாதுகாப்புக்காகவே இந்த சட்டம் கொண்டு வரப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆகவே இதுபோன்ற ஆபத்தான சூழ்நிலையில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு பொதுமக்கள் தைரியமாக உதவலாம் என மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் அவர்கள் பொதுமக்களையும் கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ளார்.

Children’s Day at SMH

Today felt special at the hospital. We paused for a while from our usual work and came together to celebrate Children’s Day with our staff kids and families. It was a small programme, but it was filled with so much joy.

We started with a short prayer, some songs, and a few words that reminded us how precious children are. The performances, little dances, and the puppet show brought so many smiles. The competitions were full of colour, Bible characters, cartoon characters, tiny leaders… all walking around confidently.

Every child received a small gift, and that moment alone made the whole event worth it. Their excitement, their laughter… it made the place come alive.

Happy Children’s Day to all the little ones who brighten our days.

World Radiography Day 2025 Celebration at Scudder Memorial Hospital

Theme: “Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen”

Scudder Memorial Hospital joyfully celebrated World Radiology Day 2025, highlighting the vital role of radiographers in modern healthcare. Our Radiology staff, interns, and students came together to showcase the advancements in imaging technology that help doctors “see the unseen.” The event emphasized patient safety, the heart of every radiological service — through an engaging awareness presentation where patients also experienced and understood safe radiology practices firsthand.

A day of learning, awareness, and appreciation for the unseen heroes behind every diagnosis!

We’re proud that our Medical Superintendent, Dr. C. Anbu Suresh Rao, and Deputy Medical Superintendent, Dr. Rup Solomon Alluri, represented Scudder Memorial Hospital, Ranipet, at the EMFI National Doctors Conference and 50th Year Golden Jubilee Celebrations held in Hyderabad.

It was a time of learning, sharing, and networking, celebrating 50 years of the Evangelical Medical Fellowship of India (EMFI) and its mission to integrate faith with medical practice.

We thank God for this meaningful fellowship that continues to inspire Christian doctors to serve with compassion, excellence, and faithfulness.

As always, SMH remains committed to serving the community with free and subsidized healthcare. On 26th September 2025, Scudder Memorial Hospital, Ranipet, conducted a Free Diabetes Screening Camp.

The camp included:

Free blood sugar and blood pressure checks
Doctor consultations
Diabetic foot care guidance
Nutrition counseling

We are thankful to all participants and our dedicated staff who made this program meaningful and impactful.

By the Grace of God, Scudder College of Nursing has been blessed with a new 50-Seater Bus.

A Dedication Prayer was held this morning in the chapel. We thank God for His gracious provision and pray that this bus will serve as a blessing for our students and staff in their journey of learning and service.
