We all should learn to concentrate our thoughts. That is why it is important to have time to be alone. Avoid the constant company of other people. Most of them are like sponges, they draw everything out of you and you seldom receive anything in return. It is worthwhile to be with others only if they are sincere and strong and if each one is conscious of the other's sincerity and strength, so that you exchange noble soul qualities.

Guru is not a person, but guru can be represented in a person. One who has developed his or her own spiritual awareness to a very high level can guide others, and is considered to be guru. Only one who is finely attuned to the inner guide can inspire the awakening of the inner guide in another. Guru is not a physical being. If a guru begins thinking this power is her or his own, then they are no longer a guide. The guru is a tradition, a stream of knowledge.

Learn to be quiet for a few minutes every day, so that the knowledge from the infinite library within you can come forward and make you aware that the purpose of life is not merely to earn an external living. These external means are meant to make you comfortable and secure, so that you can attain the highest purpose of life. One part of your task is already over; you have attained one part of life—the external means—but beyond that, you have not yet attained anything.

With dedicated practice of meditation, one can purify the mind. Purified mind can become one-pointed, then mind can attain that level of consciousness. Some of the books describe that it flows both ways — downward toward darkness, upward toward light. If you can allow your mind to travel upward, then you will know the highest level of consciousness.

Identifying with the body, senses, and mind, which are only minor dimensions of our being, we remain weak, helpless, and limited, cut off from others.
In such a state of weakness we make all sorts of mistakes which reinforce the rope of karma and add to the samskaras that commit us to endless rounds of births and deaths. Lacking awareness of the Truth within us, we separate ourselves from the whole and thus create a small personality, a personal mask for ourselves.

Other than a few diseases such as cataract and glaucoma which occur due to bacterial infections, many eye disorders are related to the malfunctioning of the ocular muscles caused by chronic mental and emotional tensions. Yoga techniques for the eyes help to improve various disorders related to defects in the eye muscles such as myopia and hypermetropia.

Some of the yogic techniques are as simple as blinking, yet it is something so powerful. We forget to blink when browsing long hours on our phone / laptop. Blinking and other simple exercises for the eyes make them healthier and stronger and just take a few minutes.

Blinking of Eyes:-

1. Sit or stand comfortably in any meditative posture with eyes open.

2. Start blinking your eyes gently for 15 times....

3 close your eyes for 15 seconds

4. Open your eyes and now start blinking your eys again, but very quickly around 15 times.

5. Now, close your eyes and relax for 20 seconds.
