An awareness program, sub-division level was conducted at Rongli Bazar. Senior CHO and Staff Nurse from HWC-PHC, RONGLI also attended the said program and gave awareness about drug abuse, and ways to prevent it in the community.

This year 2025, the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking theme is "The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Prevention". It highlights the need for urgent, evidence-based preventative measures to address the world's drug problem.

Say no to drugs, yes to life. Together, let's raise awareness, break the chains of addiction, and build a healthier, safer world.

Report on the Launch of the ‘STOP Diarrhoea 2025 Campaign’

"Diarrhoea ki Roktham, Safai aur ORS se rakhen apna dhyan",

Introduction

The ‘STOP Diarrhoea campaign 2025 , running from 16th June to 31st July 2025, aims to promote awareness, prevention, and interdepartmental cooperation in combating diarrhoeal diseases.

The campaign is conducted under the slogan:
"Diarrhoea ki Roktham, Safai aur ORS se rakhen apna dhyan",
which highlights the importance of cleanliness, proper use of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution), and health awareness in preventing diarrhoea.

Key activities included:

An IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) session led by the MOIC Dr. Subarna Rizal , Sr.CHO Mrs Munna Sharma and Mrs Sunita Pradhan, Health Educator Mr Mingma Norbu Sherpa, and the entire PHC team focusing on:

The importance of ORS and Zinc supplementation in managing diarrhoea.

The role of personal hygiene in its prevention.

A live demonstration of proper handwashing techniques, following the SUMAN K guidelines, to reinforce the importance of hand hygiene.

Distribution of ORS packets to all attendees, along with a briefing on their correct usage and benefits in preventing dehydration caused by diarrhoea.

Conclusion

The launch of the ‘STOP Diarrhoea 2025 Campaign’ was successfully conducted with enthusiastic participation from community members and facility staff.

World Oral Health Day celebrated on 20th March 2025 with the theme “ HAPPY MOUTH IS A HAPPY MIND “ that emphasizes the significance of maintaining good oral hygiene, and this year the celebrations took place in a local school and a community area for elderly individuals.

Educational sessions were conducted to teach proper brushing techniques, ensuring that students understand how to maintain healthy teeth and gums from an early age.
At the school, children received toothbrushes, toothpaste, and which are essential tools for effective oral care.

Meanwhile, at the community area , elderly participants also benefited from this initiative as they were provided with similar dental care supplies. In addition to receiving materials for oral hygiene, they underwent dental screenings to assess their oral health status and address any existing issues. This dual approach not only promotes awareness about the importance of oral health across different age groups but also fosters a sense of community involvement in enhancing overall well-being through better dental practices. By engaging both children and the elderly on World Oral Health Day, these initiatives highlight the universal need for good oral hygiene habits throughout life.

Peer Educator Training conducted by Rongli PHC concludes today.

Primary Health Centre (PHC) Rongli, successfully concluded a peer educator training program, engaging 50+ students from secondary and senior secondary schools under Rhenock Community Health Centre (CHC) and Rongli PHC.

The training aimed to equip young leaders with knowledge and skills to promote healthy behaviors, prevent substance abuse, support mental wellness.
These peer educators will now spread awareness and inspire positive change among their peers
