The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) proudly partnered with Shriners Hospital for Children – Honolulu to provide specialized pediatric orthopedic services during its biannual outreach held from October 23–25, 2025.

Over the three-day outreach, over 100 children, from infants to age 17 years, received high-quality care right here in the CNMI. Services provided included:

• Comprehensive orthopedic evaluations and treatments
• Pediatric orthotics and prosthetics services
• Referrals to additional pediatric specialties, including neurology and genetics

For over 20 years, CHCC and Shriners Hospital have been collaborating to ensure that children across the CNMI have access to comprehensive, compassionate orthopedic care without the need to travel off the island.

CHCC extends its heartfelt thanks to the families and to all the dedicated medical and support staff who made the outreach a success. The Children’s Clinic looks forward to welcoming the Shriners team back for future outreach visits.

For more information on Shriner’s outreach clinics in the CNMI or Public Health programs and services for children with special healthcare needs, please contact our main office at 670-234-8951 extension 2002. 💤 Wrapping Up Safe Sleep Month: Remember the ABC’s! 💙

As October comes to a close, we’re wrapping up Safe Sleep Awareness Month by sharing one of the most important reminders for every parent and caregiver — the ABC’s of Safe Sleep.

✅ A – Alone:
Your baby should always sleep alone, in their own sleep space — never in the same bed as adults, siblings, or pets.
✅ B – Back:
Always place your baby on their back for every nap and bedtime. This is the safest sleep position and helps protect against Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
✅ C – Crib:
Lay your baby down in a crib or bassinet with a firm mattress and a fitted sheet — and nothing else. No thick blankets, pillows, bumpers, or stuffed toys.

🍼 Safe sleep is simple but powerful — it’s one of the best ways to keep your baby healthy and safe every time they sleep.

Let’s keep spreading awareness and supporting families all year long.

Remember the ABC's of safe sleep. 💫

30/10/2025

As October comes to a close and Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, we leave you with this message, Take care of YOU.

The fight doesn’t end here — awareness, early detection, and action continue all year long.

If you’re over 40, don’t wait. Schedule your mammogram today.

Screenings save lives, and one screening can make all the difference.

Early detection is the best protection.
• Get your routine mammogram
• Know your risk factors
• Live a healthy, balanced lifestyle

Let’s carry the message beyond October.

Make self-care a priority, stay proactive, and encourage others to do the same.

Take time for yourself. Get screened. Stay strong.
