International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bharati Medical College, organized by the Departments of Physiology and Community Medicine.

More than 350 students and faculty participated in the session, practicing asanas, surya namaskar, and pranayama with full energy and dedication.

The event was held in collaboration with Bhakti Yog, Zilla Parishad Sangli, Chitale Dairy, and Vishwa Yog Darshan Centre, Miraj-Sangli.
Expert guidance and demonstration were provided by Dr. Vaidehi Lomte and Dr. Sheetal Patil.

A wonderful initiative promoting wellness, discipline, and the spirit of yoga!

World Environment Day Rally – 5th June 2025
Organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth Campus, Sangli
On the occasion of World Environment Day celebrated on 5th June 2025, a vibrant and impactful rally was organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth Campus, Sangli. More than 1000 students from the Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, and Nursing colleges enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing their commitment to environmental conservation.
The rally highlighted this year’s theme — “Ban on Single Use Plastic”— with students carrying eye-catching slogans such as “Save Trees,” “Sustainability is in Our Hands,” and “Plastic Free” to spread awareness among the public. A special attraction of the event was a street play performed by nursing students, focusing on the harmful effects of plastic usage and the importance of adopting eco-friendly alternatives.
Following the rally, a tree plantation drive was conducted in a designated area identified by SMKC (Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Corporation), reinforcing the message of environmental preservation.
The event was successfully organized by the Student Council and received strong support from the leadership of the constituent colleges:

* Dr. Sharad Kamat, Principal, Dental College
* Dr. Sneha Katke, Principal, Physiotherapy College
* Dr. Ray, Principal, Nursing College
The collective effort of students and faculty made the event a grand success, spreading a strong message on environmental responsibility and sustainable living.

Students of III Phase Part I, Mr. Jaimin Patel and Mr. Siddharth Baheti, secured 4th place among 50 teams from across India in the National Level Toxicology Quiz held at KMC Mangalore on March 9, 2025.

Additionally, Miss Aarya Kulkarni (III Phase Part I) achieved 2nd place in the Kahoot Quiz at the same event.

A total of three teams from Bharati Medical College participated, with one team successfully making it to the final round and securing 4th place.
